Babe Ruth Series Update for Thursday, August 11
Wausau and Wilson County remain the only undefeated teams to date in the Babe Ruth 16U World Series games in Lamar. Lodi, CA and Levittown, NY are both at 3-1 and Hamburg and North Olympic are at 2 and 2 each. The Wednesday bracket match had Hamburg defeating Lodi, 7-5, Levittown downed North Olympic, 6-3; Wilson County shut out Hamburg 5-0 and Levittown closed down Wausau 2-1. World Series Committee Continues Progress
With about two months to go, the Lamar World Series Committee is checking off items on their to-do list. The teams representing the 16U Softball Babe Ruth regional winners will be in Lamar in early August, vying on Citizen’s Field for the championship trophy. The Lamar World Series Committee is starting to finalize some plans, now that the Babe Ruth 16U Softball World Series is less than three months away. LCC Booster Club Banquet this Wednesday
The Lamar Community College Runnin’ Lopes Booster Club will host its third annual Athletic Banquet on Wednesday, April 20th at 6:00 p.m. in the LCC Wellness Center. Lamar Hosting Babe Ruth Softball World Series in August
Lamar, Colorado will host the Babe Ruth Softball 16 Year Old World Series, August 5-13, at the Lamar Sports Complex. Ten girl’s fast pitch softball teams will compete for the title of World Champions.
