Snow Removal Efforts Continue
The familiar center lane of snow in many of Lamar’s roadways is being shoveled up and hauled off. With snow removal, first comes first. Get it scraped off the main roads and snow emergency routes and then deal with the secondary streets. Once that’s underway, the removal process begins. The City of Lamar will be cleaning a portion of the sidewalks, only what they can reach with the bucket from the street, and the gutters tonight beginning at 12:00 a.m. and continuing until approximately 6:00 a.m. This is on MAIN STREET ONLY. Southeastern Colorado Road Conditions
The Colorado Department of Transportation now is on snow shift through southeastern Colorado – areas including Lamar, Springfield, La Junta and Trinidad. Maintenance crews are currently working 12-hour shifts during the storm and will remain on snow shift after the storm passes for storm cleanup.
