Dorsen Niceschwander 1948-2012 Valley Memorial Chapel-Lamar Dorsen Dee Niceschwander, 63, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at Prowers Medical Center, Lamar, Colorado. He was born November 3, 1948 to Joseph and Eleanor (Flower) Niceschwander in Goodland, Kansas. Visitation for Dorsen will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, Colorado. Local Medical Providers Collaborating on New Health Information Program
The four main health organizations in Prowers County are forming an information group to foster community wellness and take steps to counter chronic illness and increasing obesity in the county. PMC Offers CEO Position to Craig Loveless
The search for a chief executive officer at Prowers Medical Center may be coming to a close. Candy Ruedeman, PMC board chairperson, said the board made a job offer to interim Chief Executive Officer, Craig Loveless, following a late night executive session during the June 26 monthly meeting. City Water Project at PMC Underway
Excavation is underway on the north entrance of Prowers Medical Center, part of the project initiated by the City of Lamar to replace aging pipeline feeding Prowers Medical Center. Once completed, in about 90 days from an earlier estimate, the 2,200 foot long pipeline will eliminate an old 14 inch water line serving the hospital and Willow Valley.
