County and City Fire Ban Restrictions Amended
The governor has rescinded the state wide fire ban. With the recent rains I believe that Prowers County can to some extent rescind most of the restrictions. I will keep the fire ban on red flag days and require everyone to revert to our previous method of calling the Communications Center for a permit. Maintenance Funding Sought for PCDI Washington Street Property
The Washington Street property will be shown to a prospective business developer later this month. Prowers County Development Incorporated Executive Director Lisa Nolder informed board members of an interested party during their June 26 monthly meeting. Primary Victory for Andrade, Hixson and Schnabel
Prowers County Unofficial Primary Results Early voting and tabulation helped speed the June 26 primary vote count for Prowers County Clerk and Recorder Jana Coen and the election judges. Precinct Voting is Underway in Prowers County
Over 2,000 mail-in ballots have been sent out to Prowers County registered voters for the June 26 primary. Provisional ballots are also available at these voting precincts for voters who are casting their ballots out of their district. When Friday’s tornado hit the substation just south of Lamar on April 27, it killed power to most of the town, and it also killed power to the town’s siren alert system. Prowers Commissioners Address Civil Liberties, Second Bent County Prison to Close?
