Lamar Teen Center Moving to Lincoln Elementary School
Lincoln Elementary School, vacant for the past year, will host the students from Project HOPE from the Lamar Teen Center beginning next month. The two story building on East Elm Street sees about 75 to 90 young students each day after school, according to HOPE director, Lori Hammer. HOPE Helping Hospice
Twelve willing students from the Lamar Teen Center, Project HOPE, braved the heat to help transfer stored equipment and boxes of miscellaneous items to the Lamar Area Hospice headquarters. Teen HOPE Center, Winding Down to Summer

Meg Day Winds Up Service to P3, Partners for HOPE
Staffing changes at the youth organization P3, now knows as Partners for HOPE, received a one month extension on their Criminal Justice Grant and approval for the action from the Prowers County Commissioners on Thursday, September 22. Personal circumstances necessitated the changes, which are also reflected in some budgeted line items, but will not impact the full grant of $200,000. Free Fun in the Sun for Area Teens

P3, Partners for Hope Receives Needed Grant Funding
There was good news and not so good news for P3 last Friday. Meg Day and Lori Hammer were awaiting word on a grant application for funding to take them through the approaching school year. The good news is the Justice Assistance Grant was awarded to them, but not in the amount they had hoped. County Commissioners Review Enrollment Numbers and Dorm Upgrades at LCC
The push is on for fall enrollment at Lamar Community College, according to Chad DeBono, Vice President of Enrollment Services. DeBono, LCC President John Marrin and Cheryl Sanchez, VP of Student and Administrative Services at the college met with the Prowers County Commissioners, Thursday, May 26.
