The Lamar Redevelopment Authority will meet at 6pm, prior to the city council’s work session this evening. The brief meeting will allow for a resolution appropriating monies needed for the Authority’s 2012 budget. The sums are those expected by the City Treasurer, to be collected from property taxes, $128,531. Most of the changes taking place at the Cow Palace Inn have been internal. Since the Lamar motel was sold this past summer to Palace Holdings, LLC, various upgrades and improvements have occurred. Manager Doug Thrall said brand new kitchen equipment is scheduled to be delivered the week of October 17 and as he was speaking this past Friday, over 100 new mattresses were being off-loaded from delivery trucks. Lamar Redevelopment Board Postpones Hospital District Agreement

The Lamar City Council, acting as the Redevelopment Board on Monday, June 27, tabled approving a resolution for an intergovernmental agreement to pay the Prowers County Hospital District a portion of the TIF revenue generated by the hospital district levy.
