Not many people noticed a brief visitor to Lamar Wednesday morning, as he was perched about 100 feet up, checking out his surroundings. Scout Camp Breakfast Held at Lamar Elks
Boy Scout Troop 218 and Cub Scout Pack 223 hosted a fund-raising breakfast at the Lamar Elks Lodge February 16 to help defray expenses for area scouts attending their annual Scout Camp this year. Prowers County Receives Low Health Ranking in State Assessment
A new study by the Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation places Prowers County close to the bottom of healthy counties in Colorado, and ranks Huerfano County last. Douglas County is ranked number 1. Residents of Prowers County, the report claims, are more than two times more likely to die a premature death than people in Douglas County, which was listed as the healthiest.
