Great Day for Granada – Bristol Activities
Monday’s rains stayed away this past weekend to give a picture-perfect day for events surrounding the 20th Annual Granada/Bristol Days, from the Friday evening BBQ and auctions, to the open air dance this past Saturday. Nice and Easy for Bluegrass Friday Jam Session
This past Friday, June 10, was the opening evening for the annual Holly Free Bluegrass Festival. Willow Creek Park Draws a Crowd

Lamar Days Means BBQ
The 7th Annual Wild West BBQ Cook-off and Backyard Grillers Competition gets underway May 13th and 14th at Willow Creek Park in Lamar. This year the cooking competition will be on the eastern side of the park, paralleling the road, from the southern end of the park to the Rotary Way entrance. Prowers County Fair Board Elects New Officers
The Prowers County Fair Board met in regular session at the Eagles Lodge Thursday, February 24 to elect new officers. Elected were: Mark Carrigan – Chairperson; Diane Pool – Vice Chairperson; Cindy Bennett – Treasurer and Toni McPherson – Secretary. Discussion focused on developing a concert act on par with the Josh Abbott band that entertained crowds for last year’s fair.
