Public Invited to Meet City Administrator Candidates this Thursday
The Lamar City Council is hosting a public meet-n-greet this Thursday, July 12, for the remaining five City Administrator candidates. Interim administrator, Steven Rabe, reminded the council and those attending the July 9 council meeting, the event will be held at the Multi-purpose room at the Lamar Community Building from 5pm to 7pm. Primary Victory for Andrade, Hixson and Schnabel
Prowers County Unofficial Primary Results Early voting and tabulation helped speed the June 26 primary vote count for Prowers County Clerk and Recorder Jana Coen and the election judges. Precinct Voting is Underway in Prowers County
Over 2,000 mail-in ballots have been sent out to Prowers County registered voters for the June 26 primary. Provisional ballots are also available at these voting precincts for voters who are casting their ballots out of their district. Search Narrowing for Lamar City Administrator
The City of Lamar received 19 applications for the position of city administrator by the June 1 deadline, according to interim administrator Steve Rabe. He informed the council during their meeting, Monday, June 11, that the list has been narrowed to seven semi-finalists who participated in phone interviews. Granada Trustees Tackling City Junk Vehicle Ordinance
The Granada Town ordinance regulating junked vehicles is back on the drawing board for new language to include use of car covers in lieu of constructing fencing to block the view of junked or non-operable vehicles within the city limits. PMC Employees Host Board Candidate Forum
A second public forum hosted by hospital employees for the six candidates for Prowers Medical Center Board of Directors was held at the Cultural Evens Center Tuesday, April 24. Granada Has New Mayor, Trustees
The Town of Granada held municipal elections for the Board of Trustees on April 3. Town Clerk, Jackie Malone said ninety-six voters cast their ballots for four board members and for mayor.
