Chamber Honkers Welcome Kimberly Eskew, the New Manager of ALCO
The Lamar Chamber of Commerce Honkers recently welcomed ALCO store manager, Kimberly Eskew to the community. ALCO is open seven days a week at the corner of Savage Avenue and South Main Street, across from the Lamar Ball Fields. Eskew has been managing the Lamar ALCO branch for the past several months. City Posts Monthly Sales Tax Gain
Sales tax collections for April, 2012 indicated another straight month in the plus column for the City of Lamar. City Sales Tax collected for April was up 3.17 and Total Sales and Use Tax Collections were up 8.42% over last year for a gain of $20,761.91. Year-to-Date tax revenue figures show City Sales Tax up 4.08% and total tax collections from January through May are up 5.28% for a gain over 2011 of $71,525.06.
