Colorado Bovine Trichomoniasis Update
LAKEWOOD, Colo. The Colorado Department of Agriculture reminds cattle owners to test their herd for Bovine Trichomoniasis. As of 6/25/2012, there are currently six positive trich locations in six Colorado counties: Las Animas, Montezuma, Pueblo, Otero, Weld, and Yuma. So far this year, there have been 12 trich cases in eight counties: Conejos, Kit Carson, La Plata, Las Animas, Montezuma, Pueblo, Weld and Yuma. Prowers County Sheriff’s Office June 27, 2012 Fire Works Ban Due to the high fire danger Prowers County has been added to the “Red Flag” counties. Big Timbers History Corner #8 – Lamar, CO, The Land of Milk and Money
I sure wish I knew the story behind this item loaned to the Big Timbers collection by Thomas Nidey. We think perhaps it was a reference to the old condensed milk factory, possibly displayed on their trucks? Still funny after all these years. Girls Represent Wrangler Gymnasts in Competitions
Rebecca Henderson of Lamar recently competed as an Optional B level gymnast at two Colorado E.A.G.L.E.S. USAG gymnastics meets. She represented the Wrangler Gymnasts of Wild West Athletics.
