Police Run Down Separate Burglary Suspect

Officers from the Lamar Police Department responded to the 200 block of West Poplar Street on May 10, 2012 at approximately 10:25 P.M. on report of an alarm.

Officers found the building was broken into and property was taken along with damage inside the building. Officers were able to locate Irving Martinez, 23, of Lamar in the area.

After a short foot chase, Irving Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Prowers County Jail. Irving is being held on $6,000.00 bond for 2nd degree burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.
