Granada Trustees Tackling City Junk Vehicle Ordinance
The Granada Town ordinance regulating junked vehicles is back on the drawing board for new language to include use of car covers in lieu of constructing fencing to block the view of junked or non-operable vehicles within the city limits. Police Run Down Separate Burglary Suspect
Officers from the Lamar Police Department responded to the 200 block of West Poplar Street on May 10, 2012 at approximately 10:25 P.M. on report of an alarm. Officers found the building was broken into and property was taken along with damage inside the building. Officers were able to locate Irving Martinez, 23, of Lamar in the area. Brief Chase Nabs Home Robbery Suspect
Officers from the Lamar Police Department responded to the 600 block of North 8th Street on May 11, 2012 at about 1:00 A.M. on report of a person attempting to enter a residence. Officers were able to located Benjamin Gonzales, 25, of Lamar in the area after a short foot pursuit. Lamar Police Arrest Combative Suspect
On Wednesday, May 09, 2012 at approximately 11:00 pm, officers from the Lamar Police Department responded to the 300 block of West Beech Street for a suspicious female subject who was later identified as Casandra Bastian, 28 years of age. The officers contacted the subject who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances. Burglary Suspect Arrested in Lamar
On Wednesday, May 9, 2012 officers responded to Colorado Mills on a report of a series of burglaries which occurred in the late month of April and early May. Officers were assisted by Colorado Mills staff with the use of video surveillance to identify a suspect. Officers and staff were able to gain a positive identity of Christopher Medina 34 of Lamar.
