Drug Bust and Possible Drug Overdose
MEDIA RELEASE On Friday, April 20, 2012, Officers of the Lamar Police Department responded to the 900 block of S. Main St. on the report of a disturbance and a possible drug overdose. When Officers arrived on scene they contacted Armando Stephen Hernandez, age 33, of Lamar, who was reported to have been involved in a physical confrontation with a resident of the home. A Funeral Liturgy for longtime Holly resident, Berniece M. Pollart, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Holly with Deacon Henry Wertin. A rosary service will be held prior to the Mass at 9:30 AM also at the church with Deacon Henry Wertin reciting. A Rite of Committal will be held at the Holly Cemetery. Saturday Clean Up, from 7am to Quittin’ Time
Branches and twigs and leaves and freezers and stoves, paint, paper, oil, mattresses, tv’s, tires, wood, lumber, cribs, swamp coolers…almost an endless list of all the stuff we buy and eventually discard when it no longer works or no longer amuses us. Wastewater Lift Station Needs Repairs, City Getting New K9 for Police Department
Higher than expected levels of hydrogen sulfide has caused excessive deterioration of the concrete wetwall at the city’s new wastewater lift station. The concrete is being damaged by agitation of the water as it spills into the headworks screen which causes a release of the corrosive gas.
