PTK Inducts 25 New Members

(Lamar, Colorado, April 3, 2012) Lamar Community College’s Beta Eta Gamma chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honorary recognized 25 new members during the spring induction ceremony held last week. This is one of the largest groups ever to be inducted in the chapter. Prowers County Sheriff Report, March, 2012

The Prowers County Sheriff’s Office responded to 295 calls for service for March, 2012.  Lamar generated 153 calls, there were 25 for Holly, 15 in Wiley and 93 in the county at large.    Fifty-seven of the Lamar calls were jail related and 20 resulted in warrant arrests.  Holly reported four traffic accidents and related problems, plus one warrant arrest and one case of harassment.  There were two warrant arrests for Wiley, one domestic violence call … Read entire article »

NWS Report Shows Under Average Snowpack

As of April 1, 2012, this year’s snowpack levels were well below average for South Central and Southeast Colorado.
