Easter Egg Hunt Set for 9am, Saturday, Willow Creek Park
The Easter Bunny will make her annual appearance at Willow Creek Park Saturday, April 7, at 9am (correct), with Easter eggs and assorted candy and prizes for area youth. The Lamar Parks and Recreation Department host the annual event for kids ages 1 to 10 years old, and area merchants contribute to some of the goodies and prizes. Lamar School Board Meets this Monday, April 9
The RE-2 District Board will consider some staff changes during the Monday meeting beginning at 6:30pm. For the 2012-2013 school year, the board will vote to eliminate a secretarial and custodial position at the high school, a math interventionist at the middle school and the transportation secretary position as of December 1, 2012. Lamar Chamber Honkers and Directors Visit New Manager at Opal’s Pub
On March 16th, members of the Lamar Chamber Honkers and Board of Directors paid a welcome visit to the New Manager at Opal’s Pub. They wanted to recognize Lynn Kennedy, the new manager, and her staff for re-opening Opal’s Pub. Opal’s is located at 1310 North Main in Lamar.
