  The Prowers County Democratic Party held their county assembly this past Saturday, March 31 at the Rodeway Cow Palace Inn, in Lamar. Donald Seufer, the democratic challenger for the District I County Commissioner seat held by incumbent republican Henry Schnabel, received 97% of the delegate votes. Southeast Colorado Unemployment Update

Colorado Employment Situation Employers in Colorado added 4,700 nonfarm payroll jobs from January to February for a total of 2,288,900 nonfarm payroll jobs, according to the survey of business establishments. Private sector payroll jobs increased 2,700 and government increased 2,000.  According to the survey of households, the unemployment rate was unchanged over the month at 7.8 percent.
