Magazine Scam in Area
The Lamar Police Department has received reports of individuals attempting to sell magazines door to door. The magazine salespeople are stating that they are representing the Lamar Community College and the magazines will be given to service men and women stationed abroad. Lamar Community College officials advise that the college has not authorized anyone to sell magazine subscriptions for the college and a check with city offices indicates that no licenses for door to door solicitations … Read entire article »

Cattlemen to Host Meeting, Auction, and Banquet on March 31
LAMAR – Colorado’s oldest livestock organization will meet March 31st here. Lamar Council Annexes Properties, Appoints Board and Commission Members
The Lamar City Council held a brief session Monday evening, March 26, approving several ordinances on their second reading, relating to annexing several properties into the city. The ordinance annexing the property on Yucca West Drive, known as Langston First Annexation, was amended and approved by the council.
