Lamar Police Department Press Release
On Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at about 12:13 PM, a Lamar Police K9 was used to check the Prestige Travel Bus in the 100 block of Holly Street. The Lamar Police K9 alerted to a seat and bag inside the bus. After an investigation officers arrested Casey Edward Loren (27) of Kansas for possession of: Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana and possession of an illegal weapon. During the search officers found over $10,000.00 in cash. Officers interviewed Loren and found he was transporting marijuana to Wichita, Kansas and was returning to the Denver area. Officers confiscated the money and will be attempting to have the money forfeited.
