Tommy was born on August 20, 1961 in Lamar to Hank and Isabell Griffith and departed this life on Saturday February 25, 2012 in Avondale, Arizona at the age of 50 following a short illness. Arrest Made in Purse Snatcher Case
On February 24, 2012 officers from the Lamar Police Department received information about the purse which was stolen as part of a robbery in the 200 block of South 6th Street on February 23, 2012. Officers were able to retrieve the purse and were able to identify a suspect in the case. Officers contacted Kenneth Kaufman-Magallanez, 23, of Lamar and after investigation; Kenneth was arrested for robbery and other charges. Kenneth is being held at … Read entire article »

Lamar Council Will Discuss Merit Compensation for City Employees
Various forms of merit compensation for Lamar City employees will highlight the Lamar City Council work session set for this evening, February 27.
