A Celebration of Life service for former Chivington, Colorado resident and current Claremore, Oklahoma, resident Scott N. Bowen will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday February 14, 2012 at the Eads United Methodist Church in Eads, Colorado. Rev. Gary Forsee and Rev. Nancy Peacock will co-officiate. Burial will follow in the Eads Cemetery in Eads, Colorado.
Visitation for Mr. Bowen will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday February 13, 2012 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, Colorado and prior to the services on Tuesday February 14, 2012 at the Eads United Methodist Church in Eads.
Scott was born July 13, 1960 to Charles “Buster” Bowen and Frances Taylor- Bowen at Lamar, Colorado. He departed this life on Wednesday February 8, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 51.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles “Buster” Bowen of Chivington, CO. on July 5, 2006; by his mother Frances R. Bowen of Pampa, TX. on May 9, 2009; by a brother Greg Bowen of Chivington, CO. on July 5, 1970; and by his father-in-law Howard Davis of Ft. Worth, TX. on September 29, 1985.
Scott is survived by his wife Melody Bowen of Claremore, OK.; by three children Nathan Bowen of Arlington, VA., Rachel (Josh) Brown of Waxahachie, TX., and Stephanie Bowen of Claremore, OK.; by his brother Chuck (Sheri) Bowen of Lamar, CO.; by his sister Marki (Roy) Laughlin of Wheeler, TX.; and by his mother-in-law Mary Ann Davis of Ft. Worth, TX.. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and man friends.
