New Golf Pro, Irrigation System at Spreading Antlers
A new $107,000 watering system is being installed at Spreading Antlers Golf Course this month, thanks to donations from the Huddleston-Butler Foundation as well as other sources. In addition to a new irrigation system, the course now has a new golf pro. Golf board director, Larry Huddleston, said Bob Haney has been hired as of February 1. Fantasy Tree Makes Annual Donation to Domestic Safety Resource Center
Members of the Lamar Fantasy Tree committee donated $7,000 to the Domestic Safety Resource Center this past Thursday, February 2. Lamar Senior Center Celebrates its 10th Year
Jeff Anderson, former Lamar City Administrator, was on hand for the 10th anniversary celebration for the Lamar Community Resource and Senior Center on East Olive Street, the former Safeway building. Anderson took time to visit with senior members and other citizens, engaging Prowers County Commissioner Joe Marble in a discussion about the center, from its early days to today.
