Delbert E. “Doc” Pearson…February 5, 1939 – January 15, 2012
Lamar resident and local business man, Delbert E. “Doc” Pearson passed away on January 15, 2012 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side. He was 72. Per Doc’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Doc was born on February 5, 1939 at Alamosa, Colorado to John Pinkney and Hattie Violet (Creager) Pearson. LCC Men’s Basketball Update 1-17-2012
The Lamar Community College Runnin’ Lopes men’s basketball team continued its struggles this past weekend dropping their first two sub-region games on the road. Friday night the Lopes dropped one to Laramie County 83-71 and Saturday lost to North Platte 86-75. The Lopes fall to 4-11 overall and 0-2 in the Region IX South Sub-Region. A memorial service for Lamar resident William “Biff” Harral will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday January 18, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lamar, Colorado. Rev. Jeff Alexander will officiate. National Park Service Considering Boggsville in Bent County
COLO. – Rep. Cory Gardner (R-CO) is pleased to announce that the National Park Service (NPS) is preforming a reconnaissance study of the Boggsville Historic Site in Bent County.
