Parkview Christmas Program at LCB
Students from the Parkview Elementary School held their annual Christmas music program last evening, December 6, at the Lamar Community Building. The 3rd thru 5th grade students were under the direction of music instructor Mrs. Morrison for what would probably be their final occasion. Lamar Area Hospice, Honoring the Past, Planning for the Future
The Lamar Chamber of Commerce Parade of Lights was preceded by another lighting ceremony this past Friday, December 2. Almost 100 persons were present for the Lamar Area Hospice, 5th Annual Holiday of Lights and Memories, an observance to remember friends and loved ones who have passed away. A water main break in front of Frontier Bank, formerly First National Bank, has closed traffic while repairs are underway today, December 6. The entire southbound lanes of Main Street from Olive to Elm will be closed until further notice today. The detour for southbound traffic will begin at Hickory Street, west to 6th Street, south to Oak Street and then east back to Main Street. Lamar Lady Lopes Drop two at Hutchinson Thanksgiving Classic
The Lamar Lady Lopes took on Dodge City at the Hutchinson Thanksgiving Classic, dropping the first game 72-61. The game was a tail of two halves. LCC jumped out early using pressure defense and a strong transition game to take an early 10 point lead against the Conq’s. Lamar led 17-7 early in the game.
