Wells Fargo Credit Card Scam Gets Local
Area residents are being hit this week with a phone scam regarding Wells Fargo credit cards. In some instances, the caller states the credit card has been deactivated and needs personal information in order to prevent a cancellation or additional fees. Denise Carder, Marketing & Operations Officer for Valley National Bank in Lamar said her bank has received a number of phone calls relating similar events. Hartman Residents Fed Up with Cemetery Conditions
The apparent lack of any continuous maintenance at Hartman Cemetery brought over a dozen Hartman citizens to the Prowers County Commissioners meeting last Thursday, October 20, to protest conditions, a lack of action from the current Hartman Cemetery board members, and to seek some guidance on how to correct the situation. Public Hearings Set for Tonight’s Council Meeting
The Cow Palace Inn’s request for a Hotel & Restaurant liquor License will be addressed in Monday night’s City Council meeting. A public hearing is scheduled for the 7pm meeting.
