CSP Update on Fatal Crash, Six Dead
The Colorado State Patrol in conjunction with The State of Colorado Human Services is investigating a traffic crash involving a van and tractor-trailer that resulted in 6 fatalities in Cheyenne County. The crash occurred on Colorado 287 approximately 2.5 miles south of Kit Carson, Colorado. A 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 van was traveling southbound on Colorado 287. Two Vehicle Crash in Kiowa County Claims Six Lives
Six of thirteen people traveling in one vehicle were killed this morning in a two vehicle crash near the junction of Highway 297/40, south of Kit Carson. According to the Colorado State Patrol, their southbound passenger van ran into the rear of a semi truck around 7:30 this morning. RE-2 School Board Favors Proposition 103
The November ballot question, which if passed will raise $2.9 Billion over five years, was discussed and supported by members of the Lamar RE-2 School Board during their Monday meeting, October 10. Local taxes will not be altered if the measure passes, and will sunset after five years. Proposition 103 funds will be applied to public school financing in Colorado.
