NLNAC Site Visit to LCC a Huge Success
(Lamar, Colorado, September 28, 2011) The Lamar Community College Nursing program hosted a site review for initial accreditation of its Associate Degree in Nursing program by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission, Inc. (NLNAC) on September 20-22, 2011. The weatherman has forecast an ideal day this Saturday for the annual Oktoberfest celebration at the Lamar Chamber of Commerce offices. Participants in the Fun Run and Poker Run will have between 9 and 10am on Saturday to register for the morning event, and all cars and motorcycles are welcome. Lamar Area Hospice Receives $20,000 Donation
Two fund-raising events are held each year to benefit the Lamar Hospice Association, the Angels Open Golf Tournament and a summertime dinner and dance. Those events, coupled with their silent auctions, recently raised $20,000 which was donated to the Lamar Area Hospice Thursday, September 29.
