A celebration of life memorial service for longtime Granada, Colorado resident, Bill Burgess, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday August 8, 2011 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar. John Sykes will officiate the service and a private family burial will take place at a later date. It’s a Brand New Alta Vista School
Alta Vista students, staff and teachers are getting a brand new school this August, estimated at $6.1 million. The summer long renovations are just about finished, as outlined by Alta Vista administrator, Talara Coen during a brief tour of the project this past Thursday, August 4. Construction costs are covered by a BEST grant, administered by the Colorado Department of Education. Holly Town Board Meeting Reviews Revenues
General utility revenue increased in Holly for the first six months of 2011, compared to the same period in 2010, according to Town Clerk, Mary Rushton. Trustee members met in a brief, regular monthly session this past Wednesday, August 3.
