A sheriff’s detective responded to a call of a flipped trailer house and downed power poles on County Road 13, between highways 50 and 196. There is no word if the house was occupied or if there were any injuries. The power company was notified about the poles. Another downed power pole was located in the 33000 block of CR 19. Water was reported over highway 50 in both lanes, shortly before 10pm last night, in the vicinity of 21000 highway 50. A telephone pole was reported on fire and broken in half in the 36000 block of CR35.
The westerly winds approached 55 mph last night and made for brief, hazardous driving conditions, due to limited visibility and water on the road around Lamar. There have been no reports of flooding, and the Willow Creek area, which had significant flooding from a prolonged rain in late June, showed no signs of water over the road on College or Woodlawn Park Road in Lamar.
