Everybody Out of the Pool, for the Day

The Lamar municipal pool was closed for the day, Wednesday, June 29, due to a chlorine leak.  Unfortunate timing, as Wednesday has been the hottest day of the year, posting a downtown temperature of 108 shortly before 2pm. PROWERS COUNTY – Traffic signals will be activated next week at the bridge reconstruction site on State Highway 89, one mile south of Holly. Lamar Light and Power Replacing Burned Poles

The Lamar Utilities Board meeting on Tuesday, June 28, covered a limited agenda, before moving into executive session for discussions. A dozen power poles were burned during the Ft.
