Summer Sessions at Lamar Community College
This summer enrollment level is keeping current with 2010 numbers, according to LCC President, John Marrin, who visited with the Prowers County Commissioners this past Thursday, June 23. Marrin provided an update on LCC activities, along with Cheryl Sanchez, VP of Administration and Student Services and Deb Loper, VP of Academic Services. Despite Rains, Local Fireworks Ban Remains in Effect for 4th
“There wasn’t enough rain to make an impact, and not all the county got the same amount of rain from this past Monday,” according to Prowers County Commissioner, Gene Millbrand. Arkansas Basin June 11, 2011 – June Drought Update Information Provided by CWCB-Colorado Water Conservation Board Basinwide Conditions Assessment The SWSI value for the month was -1.4. Flow at the gaging station Arkansas River near Portland was 701 cfs, as compared to the long-term average of 1,175 cfs. County and City Offices Closed for the 4th
All City offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2011 in observance of Independence Day. The Community Building will also be closed on Monday, July 4, 2011. The Public Library will be open Saturday, July 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be closed Sunday, July 3rd and Monday, July 4th in observance of the holiday.
