LCC Rodeo Standouts Get National Attention
Central Rocky Mountain Region Champions Tyler Schnaufer (Team Roping) and Carter Coble (Steer Wrestling) will compete in the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, WY June 12-18. Fire at Former Gelhausen’s Apartments
Pictures and Video by Russ Baldwin As of 2pm this afternoon, Monday, June 6, Lamar firefighters were battling a fire that broke out in a combination garage/storage area at the former Gelhausen’s Apartment Complex off Chestnut Street. According to the landlord, Athony LaTour, who was on the scene, the current owner lives in Denver. $uccessful Lamar Relay for Life
Photos and Video by Russ Baldwin The 2011 Relay for Life in Lamar surpassed the expected goals of $68,000. According to Heather Burkhart, event coordinator, more money was raised, more teams participated, more survivors attended and more Grand Club Members were on hand. The latest tally has $77,781 raised to date by 53 teams. 140 survivors were present and 644 Luminaria bags received donations.
