LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The Colorado Department of Agriculture continues to investigate the spread of Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1) in the state.  Status as of 5/19/2011: 8 confirmed cases of horses with EHV-1 Two horses, which tested positive for EHV-1, were euthanized after showing severe neurological signs associated with the disease. 22 suspect cases. 3RD ANNUAL RELAY FOR LIFE GOLF TOURNAMENT

At the Spreading Antlers Golf Course, Golfers from Lamar and outlying communities competed this past Saturday in the Annual Relay for Life tournament. The event included thirteen 4 Person Teams who played 18 holes of “Scrambles” format. The tournament raised approximately $3800, which was directly donated to the Southeastern Colorado Cancer Initiative.
