Libya Unrest ==$$$ More for Gas
Three days ago a gallon of gas was $3.09 and as of today, it’s climbed locally to $3.19/gal.
Why?? Unrest in Libya has unsettled the market. Crude oil cost $138.54 a barrel in 2008 when it hit its all-time high of $4 a gallon, according to a national average survey from AAA that year. Denver motorists paid $3.85 a gallon for regular in June, 2008. Hartford, CT residents were paying $4.23 a gallon that spring.
A barrel of crude is averaging $92.66, with prices expected to fluctuate for several weeks, based on civil unrest in Libya.
